Birley Bakery takes inspiration from the traditional French boulangerie-pâtisseries - once a cornerstone of daily life, now a rarity. With bakeries in Chelsea, London, and the Upper East Side, New York, we continue this tradition with a focus on technique, provenance, and daily production.

Led by maître pâtissier Vincent Zanardi, the bakery offers a collection of handmade pastries, sourdough bread, cakes, biscuits, and chocolate, prepared using time-honoured methods and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Many of Vincent’s recipes have taken years to refine.

All items are made fresh by our team of chefs. Bread and viennoiseries are baked on-site throughout the day, while cakes, tarts, and patisserie are delivered from our dedicated kitchens. Our chocolate, made in small batches using a custom blend of Philippine cacao, forms the basis of a seasonal collection available in both shops.

Flour from Burgundy, almonds from Valencia, and sea salt from Brittany are among the ingredients selected for quality and character. This approach runs through everything - from a simple croissant to our handmade chocolate, ice cream and vegan-friendly pâtisserie.
